Some say that what you wear speaks volumes about you. I agree with them to some extent. It’s not what you wear really, but how you wear it. Here are a few fashion tips that I have followed and developed over the years.

  1. Shoes- Think about it this way. Every part of your wardrobe tells a story. Your shoes can scream things about you. I am not going to tell you exactly what kind of shoes to wear but I can suggest a few pointers based off of what I have been successful with.
    You can’t go wrong with a nice pair of Puma’s. They are simple, comfortable, and look absolutely wonderful. If you go with a white color, be sure to wash them frequently. They tend to stain easily.
  2. Jeans-I prefer Diesel, Express Men, or 7 For All Mankind. These designer jeans tend to be a bit pricey,

Fashion Week in New York City began February 11th and runs through the 18th. During fashion week top designers from around the world will showcase their Fall, collections. Fashion week got off to a sad start with the death of one of the world’s greatest designers, Alexander McQueen, but as they say in Hollywood the show must go on. Here are some of the trends that were popping up and events that occurred during fashion week.

Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief – One of the highlights of fashion week in London was the charity event hosted by famous model and renowned primadona, Naomi Campbell. This star studded event had top fashion models walking down the runway in an effort to raise money to help save the lives of mothers and babies in Haiti. I sat on my bed waiting for my phone to ring. He was supposed to call to let me know when he was close, but by my standards he was late so I began to wonder if he decided he didn’t want to come anymore. Just then, my phone started vibrating on my desk. I jumped up and walked over looking down at the unfamiliar number guessing it was his.

“Hello?” I said after flipping the phone open. I was greeted by his gentle voice on the other end and I think my heart fluttered. I wasn’t sure, but I’m pretty sure my heart fluttered. He told me he was pulling into my apartment complex and asked if I would come down to make sure he parked in the right lot. I went down and opened my front door gazing out.
